Thanksgiving is almost here!

Can you believe that Thanksgiving is next week? When I was younger I never believed my mother when she said time goes by faster the older you get, but now I know she was right! If you’re simply attending a Thanksgiving feast this year be sure to bring a hostess gift with you. Something simple like a bottle of wine or offering to bring a dessert will be much appreciated. On the other hand if you are the one preparing Thanksgiving dinner then get your list started right away and make your first shopping trip as soon as you can. There’s a high likelihood that you’ll forget something so heading back to the store next week for a few small things will make your life easier than trying to tackle your full list while everyone else is there doing the same. There’s still plenty of time to get your home decorated for this festive event. Repurpose your Halloween pumpkins and gourds as centerpieces and add some natural elements like recently fallen leaves. And finally, if you’re feeling adventurous and want to try something new for Thanksgiving, Food Network is your best bet – they have lots of tips and ideas for recipes. May you all have a wonderful holiday with your family and friends. And remember to travel safely, Thanksgiving is the most highly traveled holiday of the year!
